It all began ten years ago, though the thought process got converted into action only seven years ago. I am basically from an agricultural family. I have always been closely following the development in agricultural sector, through I have diversified into many non-agricultural business. Of all the recent developments both in India and abroad, Organic Agriculture movement interested me the most for the simple reason that it is based on indigenous technical knowledge, which is not new to farmers in India. Also organic farming is the way to go in the near future. Mother India Farms which is an organic horticulture with one twenty acres and the farm is located at Settrapatti Village of Dharmapuri District of Tamilnadu State, India. Mother India Farms has been organically nurturing Alphanso mango trees since the last seven years. We have started marketing of Earthen Delight brand of Organic Mangoes as a lifestyle product in Bangalore and other major cities in India. Fifteen tons of organic Alphansos harvested during the year was sold under the brand name, Earthen Delights, beautiful and conveniently packed in papper boxes. The response to the niche product in the markets of Bangalore and Mysore was overwhjelmingly good last year. The one twenty acres Mother India Farm lands was a virgin land when it was bought for the purpose. Organic Mango saplings, seeds were bought from and planted. The plants were nurtured with the latest concept pocked up from all over the world including the ancient tradition of the most effective organic bio manure that provides the flora with the right nutrition.
